hey. hi. hello.
“The hippies were right”.
I audibly snorted when Bill Hader said that on a podcast recently. It could have been the goofy midwest accent he used; it emerged in such contrast with the rest of the interview.
He’d shared openly about his experience with imposter syndrome and how he’d navigated life after having panic attacks live on the air during his tenure at Saturday Night Live.
Turns out Matt Stone, co-creator of South Park, had said it to Hader first.
“No really, they were right. I know, it sucks”, Stone apparently continued before adding “they’re happy. The shit works. Meditation, gratitude, good relationships… healthy eating…connecting with nature”.
Matt Stone, huh? Who’da thunk.
